There is this ancient boardgame originated from China more than 3000 years ago.
The Chinese call the game Weiqi, Korean call it Baduk, Japanese call it Igo or Go, Taiwanese call it Goe or Weiqi and it is commonly known as Go in other countries out of the 3 Asian countries just mentioned.
Contrary to most other boardgames, one of the beauties of Go lies in the simplicity of its rules.
One can learn the rules of Go in minutes, but it may take a lifetime to master this unique game.
The ultimate objective or criteria for deciding winner in Go game is to obtain more territories than one's opponent does.
To occupy more territories than the opponent does is thus the motive of fighting.
And to promise victory in fighting, ability of counting and reading as well as techniques of fighting become important.
It is at this tough and complex part that another beauty of Go, depth, occurs.
